October 27th, 2016

  • Picture Re-Take Day is tomorrow (10/28).
  • The following 8th grade students are attending the Leadership Conference with Mrs. Doerfler today: Faith Nuss, Lauren Williams, Abby Roberts, Aubree Braker, Will Cummings, Ethan Mudd, Dain Richie, and Connor Schutz.
  • There will be a meeting for all students interested in Junior High Scholastic Bowl on Tuesday, (11/1) at lunch.  There will be a parent meeting on (11/14) at 6PM in the library.
  • “Red Carpet Hollywood” Dance - Friday, (11/4) from 7:00 - 9:00 pm Students will walk the Red Carpet from 6:45 - 7:00 PM with reporters and paparazzi.  Families are encouraged to take pictures and make it a night to remember. Entry is one canned food item for donation to Loami Food Pantry.
  • Saturday (11/5) our Heart & Sole Girls on the Run team will be participating in their end of season 5K.  Wish them luck!
  • Angel Tree request forms are available in the office.  Forms are due no later than (11/7). 
  • Parent Teacher Conference Signup is now available.  Appointments are required.  Signup in Family Access.  Conferences will be held on (11/9) and (11/10) from 5-8 PM.  Both of these days will be a 221 student dismissal.
  • There will be no school (11/11) in observance of Veterans Day.
  • Literary Families - Mark your calendars for our (11/12) competition date and plan to attend the competition at Rochester Intermediate school.   • The Fannie May fundraiser is now underway.  Orders are due (10/18).  This is one of 2 fundraisers we do as a school each year. All proceeds go back to student activities. Funds raised help offset(almost completely) the quarter field trips, dances, etc. please consider participating.
  • The JH Honor Band Performance is (10/13) at Glenwood at 7PM.
  • The end of the 1st Quarter is (10/14).  Report cards will be mailed the following Friday.
  • Chick-fil-A Spirit Night to support Pretzel Athletics is (10/17) from 5-8PM.  The flyer is required.  The 1st hour class with the most participation will win a Visit from the Chick-fil-A cow and chicken nugget platter at school!  Pretzel Athletics will receive 20% of all sales!!
  • 1st Quarter Reward Trip to Southwind Park is scheduled for Thursday (10/20). Permission slips due today (10/13).

  • Tomorrow is the Homecoming Football Game v. Plains at 7PM.  JH students are welcome to help celebrate - please remember that all JH aged students and younger should be accompanied by an adult that is responsible for them.
