• Today is the end of the 2nd Quarter (1st Semester).  We will dismiss at 2:21.
• Christmas Break Information:
• (12/21) - 221 Dismissal
• (12/22 - 1/5) NO STUDENT ATTENDANCE
• (1/8) - Students Return
• 1st Semester report cards will be mailed Friday, (1/12).
• There will be no school (1/15) in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
• The Illinois Youth Survey will be administered to 8th grade students (1/16) during PE classes.  Click here for more information about IYS.
• Jostens will be here (1/22) to measure 8th graders for promotion gowns and to pass out 8th grade promotion materials.
• We are so excited to announce that on (1/29) we are hosting a Makerspace open house!  This will give parents and students the opportunity to explore our Makerspace and see what it's all about!
• We are currently building our Makerspace library.  Check out this list for possible items: click here.  If you are interested in donating to our Makerspace, please bring items to the JH office.

December 14th, 2017

• Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team. The girls play tonight in the 8-3A State 3rd Place Game tonight at 6:00PM at Germantown Hills MS.  What a great accomplishment for our girls!
• The 2nd Qtr. Party is (12/21).  The students will be attending Jumangi: Welcome to the Jungle. This movie is PG-13. Permission slips went home yesterday.  Students must meet requirements as outlined in the handbook to attend.
• Next Week we will have a Christmas Spirit Week!
• Monday (12/18) - Ugly Christmas Sweater Day
• Tuesday (12/19) - Christmas headgear (headbands, santa hats, elf ears, etc.)
• Wednesday (12/20) - Christmas movie day - Dress like a character from your favorite Christmas movie
• Thursday (12/21) - Candy Candy Day - Wear your best red and white clothing

• Student Council members will be Angel Tree Shopping (12/1). This is an annual tradition for our StuCo members.  The StuCo members enjoy shopping and giving back to the community.
• The JH will be MAP Testing next week!  Breakfast and attendance are critical for success!
• The 6-12 Combined Winter Concert will be (12/13) at 7PM at NBE.
