  • SAVE THE DATE - Pretzel Athletics is hosting a Community Holiday Dinner on 12/12 from 5-6:30 PM at New Berlin Elementary.
  • Next Friday is the end of 2nd quarter.  School will be dismissed at 221.  School will resume on 1/5.
  • Pretzels Give Back! Donations are being accepted in the JH office.  Update:  We are in need of SOCKS!

  • 2nd Quarter Reward Party - To celebrate the academic achievement and positive behavior, NBJH Student Council is sponsoring a reward trip for qualifying students to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens on 12/18.  To help cover transportation and ticket prices the cost for this trip is $3.00 per student.  A permission slip will go home Friday, 12/4.  Permission slips and $3.00 is due back by TOMORROW.  Financial assistance is available to anyone in need.  Please contact Mrs. Tom at jtom@pretzelpride.com.
  • JH Scholastic Bowl has teamed up with Five Below in Springfield and will donate 10% of their sales to the team if New Berlin is mentioned at check-out, or when the flyer is given.  The fundraiser will be held 12/12-12/20.

  • The character for the month is CARING: A person of character is caring, compassionate, kind, loving, considerate, and charitable.

  • Students will continue to go outside at lunch, weather permitting.  Please help them remember to bring a jacket, hat, and gloves to stay warm.
  • New Berlin Junior High had four teams receive a Judges Choice award at this year's literary Competition:
    • Bun-Gee: Faith Nuss & Lauren Williams
    • Going UP!: Abby Roberts, Levi Cycholl, Connor Schutz, Justin Royer, and Jack Kindred
    • Bun-Gee: Taylor Darr & Maria Olson
    • Batman: The Real Story Begins: Klayton Komnick & Shouri Gomatham
  • PTO is hosting Cookies with Santa on 12/5 - 8-11AM at NBE.  Enter through the gym doors.
  • REMINDER - All 6th Grade Students are required to have a dental exam and submit the state required form to the nurse prior to May 15th, 2016.  If you don't have a dentist or are unable to see the dentist, you can see the dentist at school!  The dentist will be coming after Christmas Break and will see all 6th graders FREE OF CHARGE regardless of your insurance situation.  All 6th graders will be sent home today with a permission slip to complete if you would like your student to participate.  Please complete as soon as possible and return to school.  If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse, Stacey Killion, at 488-6011 ext. 232 or skillion@pretzelpride.com.
  • Get ready for the quarter party trip with a Star Wars Movie Marathon Episodes 4-6 on Saturday, 12/5 from 11AM-6:30PM in the library.  Come any time.  Enter the Library from the north side door in the Dome parking lot.  This event is hosted by the JH Student Council.  Family members of JH students are welcome to attend.  Students under 11 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The Track Team is participating in a Santa Run-A-Thon on 12/8.  If you are interested in donating to NB Track & Field Run-A-Thon, please contact Coach Binkley at dbinkley@pretzelpride.com
  • The 6-12 Combined Band Concert is 12/9 at 7PM at NBE.  Ms. Lieb and the band always put on a great show!

This Dinner will be open to all community members regardless of student attendance in New Berlin Schools.
