- In 7th and 8th grade physical education, the students have begun their soccer unit. The 7th graders are participating in the Sport Education Model, where the students become coaches and lead class. The student coaches have done a fantastic job creating practice plans, running practice, and encouraging everyone to improve. The student coaches are Jack Kindred, Ayden Smith, Hunter Wilkin, Adam Crossin, Hunter Wells, and Matt Drake. If you see one of the coaches, make sure to tell them they are doing a great job! Ladies, be thinking about if you want to be a coach, as the next time we do the Sport Education Model it will be your turn to be coaches. - Mr. McClarey

- In the US, Patriot Day is observed as the National Day of Service and Remembrance for the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Our moment of silence tomorrow will be dedicated to the victims of the 9/11 attacks.

- Sad news today from NBJH. Mrs. Eason has accepted a position at Lincoln Land Community College and will be leaving us soon. I've been avoiding putting that in writing because that makes it real! :( Being able to serve as JH Principal with Mrs. Eason by my side for the past three years is something that I will be forever grateful. With that being said, we are so excited to announce that pending board approval, Mrs. Lori Owens will be making the transition from NBE over to the Junior High! You will see Mrs. Owens in the JH starting on September 10th.
