February 5th, 2016

  • Today, 2/5, will be an 1145 DISMISSAL.  It is also the 3rd quarter mid-term.
  • NBJH is having immense success in math skills using IXL.  To date our students have completed over 400,000 problems at grade level!  Additionally, our students have spent over 2,700 hours in IXL.  We honored the top 10 students in each grade today for both skills mastered and skills proficient!
  • 8th Grade Boys ended their season with a loss against Plains in the Regional Semi-Final on Monday.
  • Scholastic Bowl APPAREL orders are due Monday 2/8.  See Mrs. Beard for an order form.  Many of the items are non-sport/activity specific.
  • Spring sports are just around the corner!  TRACK will host it's MANDATORY parent meeting on 2/10 at 6PM in the cafeteria.  Contact the coaches, Coach McClarey  (emcclarey@pretzelpride.com) and Coach Staley (sstaley@pretzelpride.com) with questions.
  • There will be NO SCHOOL on 2/15 in honor of President's Day.
  • The JH will kickoff its Annual MAGAZINE FUNDRAISER on 2/18.  We have some AMAZING prizes this year!  A student from each grade level will have the opportunity to win a Chromebook!  More details to come.  Remind your friends and family that helped you last year that this opportunity is just around the corner.
  • The NBHS Art Club will host a PAINTING PARTY on 2/27 from 12-3PM in the Cafeteria.  Tickets are $10.  Please email Ms Wehling (ewehling@pretzelpride.com) to reserve your spot.  Walk-ins are welcome, but supplies are limited.
  • Attention 6th and 7th grade girls!  The South County Vipers will run a BASKETBALL CAMP in Waverly on 3/14-3/19.  If you are interested, registration forms are in the JH office.
  • If you don't have FAMILY ACCESS please contact Mrs. Owens to get setup - this is an invaluable resource!
  • The character for the month is RESPECT:  A person of character values all persons, lives by the Golden Rule, respect the dignity, privacy, and freedom of others, is courteous and polite to all, and is tolerant and accepting of others.
