It's time to signup for Parent Teacher Conferences! Please use these directions to signup. Spaces are limited. Please limit your selection to 2-3 teachers so others can have the opportunity to meet as well.

Test Correction Policy Update - Students will be offered the opportunity to make test corrections (when they have scored a 70% or below) during morning study hall with Mrs. Bauman. Each day of the week with correspond with a subject area. We believe this will provide the best learning environment and will provide the structure and organization necessary for continued student success. Morning study hall is from 7:55-8:15 each day. The students will be hearing more about this new process for test corrections in class this week. We will start this new process Monday.
We are currently building our Makerspace library. We are in need of tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, etc.). We are also in need of Legos (even a baggie full would be a good start). If you are interested in donating to our Makerspace, please bring items to the JH office.

There will be an open practice for anyone considering Scholastic Bowl to see what it's like TODAY (10/26) from 3:30-4:15.
The JH Band Concert is (11/1) at 7PM at NBE.
Picture retakes will be (11/3).
The Sangamon County Schoolmasters Literary Contest will be held (11/4) at Rochester.
JH Volleyball will host a parent/player informational meeting (11/5) at 7PM in HS cafeteria.
1st Trimester Electives (7th and 8th Grade) will end (11/9)
JH Scholastic Bowl will be having a parent/player informational meeting (11/14) at 6:30PM in the library.
2nd Qtr. Mid-Term (11/17)

The JH is now selling Fanny May Candies. Orders are due (10/17). This is one of two fundraisers (magazines in the spring) per year for activities such as quarter parties, dances, character counts rewards, etc.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month-RESPONSIBILITY - Heaven Workman (6th), Grace Rector (7th), and Grace Brosi (8th).
The Junior High kicks off its biggest fundraiser of the year. There is lots of cash to be given away this year. All quarter parties, dances, 8th Grade Send-off dinner, Character Counts, Dodgeball tournament, awards ceremony, and so much more are made possible by your sales efforts.
The library has new books! Check them out here!
There will be no school Monday (10/9) in observance of Columbus Day
There will be a JH Boys (7th/8th grade) basketball parent meeting (10/10) at 6PM at NBE.
The first quarter party is NEXT FRIDAY (10/13)! We are headed back to Southwind Park. Permission slips are going home today during first hour. They are due back to your first hour teacher by Tuesday, October 10th. Please remember you must meet 1st quarter expectations in order to be eligible.
